I. Bare infinitive là gì?

Bare infinitive = động từ nguyên thể không có “to”

II. Các trường hợp dùng Bare infinitive

1️⃣ Sau động từ gây khiến (Causative verbs)

make / have (nguyên nhân)

Cấu trúc:

S + make + O + V1
S + have + O + V1

Ví dụ:

The Browns made their children clean their room.

The guest had the porters carry their luggage upstairs.

 

2️⃣ Sau động từ giác quan (Verbs of perception)

see
hear

Cấu trúc:

S + V + O + V1

Ví dụ:

We incidentally saw the plane crash into the mountain.

The man noticed his assistant leave work earlier than usual.

 

⚠ Phân biệt với V-ing

feel / hear / see / watch / smell / find + O + V-ing
→ bắt gặp ai đó đang làm gì

feel / hear / see / watch / smell / find + O + V1
→ thấy ai đó đã làm gì (toàn bộ hành động)

 

3️⃣ Sau let và help

Cấu trúc:

S + let + O + V1
S + help + O + V1

Ví dụ:

My brother let me use the computer.

The parents helped their children set up the tent.

 

4️⃣ Sau Động từ khuyết thiếu/Trợ động từ (Modal verbs/Auxiliary verbs)

5️⃣ Trong cấu trúc would rather, had better:

would rather + V1 (thích hơn)

had better + V1 (nên = should/ought to)
